SSC CHSL 10+2 Exam Syllabus and Exam Pattern



SSC CHSL exam is also known as SSC 10+2 Exam, OR SSC LDC and DEO Exam, so don't get confused, as this is one and same thing, and the same syllabus, only the terminology is different.

Written Exam: 
             
All those applicants who successfully submit their applications before the last date will be called for a Written Exam provisionally. Applicants will have to Download the Call Letter / Admit cards, before appearing for the Exam.

The Date, Venue and Timetable of Exam, will be mentioned in the call letter.


SSC CHSL Admit Card

SSC is going to conduct SSC CHSL 2016 examination this year. The appearing applicants can download their admit cards from the official website of SSC that will be released in the 1st week of September 2016. SSC will shortlist the applicants on the basis of the following procedure :
01. DEO :- Written Exam and Skill Test
02. PA/SA :- Written Test and Typing Test
03. LDC :- Written Test and Typing Test on Computer

Exam Tier-I 

Tier-I

The Written Exam, will have 200 Questions from 4 different sections with 50 Questions from each section. The Duration of Exam is of 2 hours only.

Each of these above section will hold 50 marks along with negative marking of 0.25 marks. The examination will comprise of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions. The mode of question paper will be English/ Hindi both for Part I, III & IV.

SSC CHSL Syllabus
I. General Intelligence:
 It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on following sections:

 Topics are Semantic Analogy, Symbolic Operations, Symbolic/ Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space, Orientation, Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/ Number Classification, Drawing interference etc.

II. English Language:

10+2 level Grammar questions will be asked
like Spot the Error, Fill in the blanks, Synonyms/ Homonyms,Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting Mis-Spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitutions, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of verbs etc.

III. Quantitative Aptitude:

ALGEBRA: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.

Congruence and similarity of triangles
Circle and its chords
Tangents
Angles subtended by chords of a circle
Common tangents to two or more circles.

MENSURATION:
